"The best way to predict the future is to create it." - Abraham Lincoln
Such an opportunity has been created by the Haryana government scheme- The Saksham Yuva Yojana, designed to empower youth by providing them with skill development opportunities and employment assistance.
The State Government of Haryana has introduced the Saksham Yuva Yojna, which is dynamic and is intended for the enrichment and welfare of the unemployed and educated youth. The project's principal aim is to provide monthly financial assistance to the educated youth of the state. The project aims to provide them with employment opportunities and placements in various state Government departments.
Under this scheme, all state government departments, colleges, boards, and corporations are required to inform the Employment Department of any vacancies they may have. The Employment Department will then send an SMS and email alert to all registered graduates, regarding job opportunities. Employers can also post job opportunities for young people looking for work through the Saksham Yuva platform. Candidates selected for employment will select their work from any of the state's government departments or banks, under the Saksham Yojana. The selected candidates will be required, as stated, to perform 100 hours of work in a given month. The candidate will begin their employment as a trainee in whichever department they are offered a position.
The objectives of the Saksham Yuva Yojana are as follows:
To create more employment opportunities for the youth and facilitate their placement in various State Government departments.
To provide Unemployment Allowance and Honorarium to eligible candidates.
To enable applicants to select the skills they wish to develop, empowering them to secure employment or pursue self-employment in their preferred sector.
The program consists of two main parts:
A monthly subsidy for unemployed people:
Rs. 900 for people with a 10+2 education or equivalent.
Rs. 1,500 for people with a graduation or equivalent degree.
